LANSING – The Michigan Democratic Party today announced a Gubernatorial Candidate Forum on Sunday morning, April 18th at Cobo Center in Detroit. All three announced Democratic candidates – Mayor Virg Bernero, Speaker Andy Dillon, and State Representative Alma Wheeler Smith – will be participating.
Doors will open at 8 a.m. and the forum will run from 8:30 until 10 a.m. The forum will be moderated by Michigan Democratic Party Chair Mark Brewer.
“This is a great way to cap off an exciting Democratic weekend – the Endorsement Convention and Jeff-Jack Dinner on Saturday, followed by this forum with all three of our candidates for governor on Sunday,” Michigan Democratic Party Chair Mark Brewer said. “This will be the first opportunity to have all three of them together talking about their vision for Michigan and answering questions from the audience.”
Tickets for the forum, including a continental breakfast, can be purchased atwww.michigandems.com/forum. The cost is $20 if purchased on or before Monday, April 12th, $30 afterward including at the door.
