Michigan Congressman Deserves Post, Is the Perfect Choice for Committee
LANSING – The Michigan Democratic Party would like to congratulate Congressman Sander Levin for being named the new Chair for the House Ways and Means Committee.
“Congressman Levin has been a tireless advocate for Michigan in Congress since his election in 1982,” Michigan Democratic Party Chair Mark Brewer said. “His experience and understanding of our nation’s need for jobs and economic development make him the perfect choice to lead this committee.”
“The nation will not only benefit from his appointment but Michigan will as well,” Brewer continued. “Having Michigan leaders, like Congressman Levin, in these types of positions will only help to bring more national attention to Michigan’s economic issues and to solve the problems we face.”
