Lawyers to Bob Young: “You’re the Worst Justice on the Bench”
Lawyers Rate Supreme Court Justice Robert Young Worst Amongst Justices in “Overall Performance”
LANSING – This week marks the second anniversary of the Michigan Lawyers Weekly Supreme Court Justice Performance Survey – a survey in which Justice Robert Young is ranked dead last in “overall performance.”
The survey was conducted of lawyers of all backgrounds who handle cases before the Michigan Supreme Court.
“This survey is further proof that Justice Bob Young no longer belongs on the Michigan Supreme Court,” said Michigan Democratic Party Chair Mark Brewer. “Even lawyers who agreed with the results of his decisions found him to be a poor Justice. Michigan voters will have the opportunity to give Young a wake-up call this year and they should take advantage of it – just like they did in 2008 with the ‘Sleeping Judge,’ Cliff Taylor.”
“For too long Bob Young has been serving his own agenda on the bench and not protecting Michigan residents,” continued Brewer. “It’s time to stop Bob Young from protecting insurance companies, workplace sex offenders, and greedy, corporate CEOs.”
