Governor Announces $17.4 Million in Energy Efficiency Grants to Jan 25, 2010

The governor announced today that the Michigan Department of Energy, Labor and Economic Growth (DELEG) has awarded $17.4 million in grants to 125 cities, townships, villages and counties throughout Michigan to support local energy efficiency projects.  The state Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grants (EECBG) are funded through the Recovery Act.

Diane Hathaway Victory Over Cliff Taylor: “Upset of the Decade” Jan 11, 2010

LANSING – Gongwer News Service, a Lansing political newsletter, has named Supreme Court Justice Diane Hathaway’s victory over then-Chief Justice Cliff Taylor in 2008 the upset of the decade (Gongwer 12/29/09). It was the first time a sitting Supreme Court Justice had been defeated since 1984 and the first time ever that a sitting Chief Justice had been defeated. Read More
